Summary of Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe Paralegal will be responsible for providing assistance to lawyers in the following practice areas: (i) M&A (ii) Private Equity (iii) Securities (iv) Finance and (v) Projects, including in particular Assistance with corporate formations, preparation of corporate authorisations, and working with corporate agents and company secretarial forms Performance of corporate and court searches Assistance with due diligence exercises, including data room management, data room set-up and related organizational matters Prepare ancillary documents or transactions such as financings, mergers, conversions, dissolutions, acquisitions, and closing statements General transaction assistance including on closing logistics (signature packets, closing and CP checklists, closing binders) Legal research and analysis, including performing electronic research using internet-based research tools Assistance with the preparation of business development presentations, proposals and other materialsRequirements LLM or LLB from a tertiary institution with strong academics Experience of working on corporate transactions in a national or international law firms, an in house department, or a combination of both Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong general computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Powerpoint, and Excel) Ability to effectively organize projects and prioritize workload while paying close attention to detail Ability to be flexible, handle pressure and adapt to changing work priorities, work flow and work assignments in a fast-paced transactional practice with multiple attorneys Ability to problem solve, think independently and tackle projects with mínimal supervision while maintaining timely and efficient organization Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Travel may be required
