Deputy General Manager

**Key Job Duties:
**1. Duties as accounting manager for KYOCERA Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. and its subsidiaries, branches and rep offices (collectively, KAP-G) which covers 9 entities in 8 countries
- Supervise consolidated accounting in accordance with international accounting standards (IFRS).
- Prepare yearly budget, quarterly forecast and monthly analysis for consolidated financial reports.
- Monitor and analyse consolidated financial statements, budgetary and other indicators of performance in order to assess the consolidated financial results and position. The role is also expected to do regular reporting to Managing Director and monthly and quarterly reporting to headquarter in Japan.
- Communicate regularly with GM of Accounting department and other relevant departments’ managers of headquarter in Japan to seek necessary advice and approvals.
- Manage reporting process ensuring reliability, consistency, transparency and no-delay compliance with headquarter in Japan.
- Overall in-charge and lead from Singapore HQ, the Accounting & Finance functions in KAP-G.
- Oversee, drive, and work closely with Japan HQ to align group cross-border tax policies, compliance, governance and reporting, Example: Transfer pricing local file, BEPS reporting (Master file, Country-By-Country Reporting, Pillar 2 ETR, etc.), Japanese Controlled Foreign Companies (JCFC) and Bilateral Advance Pricing Agreement (BAPA) between Japan (NTA) & Singapore (IRAS).
- Oversee, drive, and work closely with Japan HQ Global Audit Division to disseminate, strengthen, implement & enforce group internal control policies and governance and support Japan HQ’s periodic internal audit within the KAP-G.
- Prepare documents for bi-annual Board of Directors Meeting and attend it.
- Negotiations and discussions with external auditors on accounting and reporting matters at a high level.

**2. Perform the role as the appointed KYOCERA Asia hub representative of Japan HQ’s Corporate Management Control Group to disseminate, share, guide, collaborate with Kyocera Japan’s APAC subsidiaries (which covers 41 entities in 12 countries including KAP-G) on the alignment, strengthening and compliance of Group and regional accounting, tax, finance, internal control & corporate governance matters, as directed by KYOCERA Head Office
- Collaborate with Kyocera group companies’ financial team in APAC region.
- Establish cooperative relationship among finance and accounting divisions of the group companies in APAC region by enhancing cross organizational activities and strengthen administrational control level of each company.
- Promote KYOCERA Group Accounting Standard (similar as IFRS) and other rules and to enhance internal control.
- Enhance cooperation on revisions of local accounting rule and tax regulation within each region.
- Risk identification and follow-up for improvement of external, internal and tax audits.
- Respond consultation on accounting, finance, and tax issues from group companies.

**Job Requirements/Skills**:

- Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Experience in consolidated accounting involving subsidiaries in multiple countries in APAC region.
- Experience in building relationships with external financial institutions, external auditors, external experts, internal auditors, etc.
- Have a good knowledge of Japanese Sarbanes-Oxley Act (J-SOX).

**Minimum Experience and Qualifications**:

- More than 10 years of experience as Manager in accounting and regional taxation (direct & indirect taxes).
- Prior experience working in Japanese companies with regional roles & responsibilities.
- Possesses years of supervisory experience of over at least 10 or more subordinates **.**
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field and/or equivalent experience.
