**Job Summary**:
Singapore Discovery Centre is seeking a Senior Executive (Hard Services) to assist the Manager in daily management, maintenance, and operational reliability of the facility’s core engineering systems. This includes providing hands-on support in technical operations, contractor management, compliance coordination, and supporting sustainability and safety initiatives. The role ensures the timely execution of tasks and plays a vital part in achieving departmental KPIs.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Operational & Technical Support**
- Assist the Manager in overseeing the operation and maintenance of all hard services systems (M&E, ACMV, plumbing, fire protection, civil, infrastructure).
- Coordinate and support the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify faults and ensure rectification is in progress.
- Aid in maintaining system uptime, energy efficiency, and service reliability for all building functions.

**2. Technical Compliance & Asset Monitoring**
- Assist in organizing statutory inspections, audits, and testing (e.g., SCDF, BCA, water tanks, lifts).
- Ensure documentation, checklists, and compliance records are up to date and submitted on time.
- Support the tracking and updating of asset lifecycle data and equipment performance logs.
- Assist the Manager in using digital tools (e.g., BIM, CMMS) for maintenance coordination.

**3. Contractor & Vendor Coordination**
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for scheduled maintenance and ad hoc repair works.
- Monitor day-to-day vendor performance and provide feedback to the Manager on service quality and SLA fulfilment.
- Verify completion of work orders, maintenance logs, and ensure defects are properly resolved.
- Aid in managing short-term maintenance contracts during transitional phases.

**4. Safety, Incident & Risk Management**
- Support the Manager in enforcing workplace safety practices and conducting regular safety inspections.
- Assist in managing the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system and site access for contractors.
- Participate in emergency drills, incident responses, and post-incident investigations.
- Coordinate onboarding safety briefings for technicians, vendors, and interns.

**5. Innovation & Sustainability Support**
- Aid in the implementation of energy-efficient solutions, smart building systems, and IoT monitoring tools.
- Support ongoing initiatives related to sustainability targets, water and energy conservation.
- Help compile data and observations for potential infrastructure upgrades.

**6. Budgeting & Reporting Support**
- Assist the Manager in compiling maintenance data, vendor quotations, and supporting documents for budget planning and CAPEX proposals.
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance costs and resource utilisation.
- Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports, including KPIs and service performance indicators.
- Contribute to investigations into recurring system failures or service disruptions.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Minimum Nitec with relevant mechanical or electrical engineering
- Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience, working in commercial, institution building or equivalent.
- Hands-on & technically grounded, comfortable with tools, equipment and reading technical plans.
- Familiarity with government procurement system, contract coordination, and vendor performance tracking.

**Working Hours**:

- Comfortable working on rostered weekends and public holidays (as Duty Manager for the Centre) with approximately, 4 - 6 shifts/month with 1-2 shifts/week which may fall on weekends and/or public holidays (OIL will be given).
- Able to work beyond normal office working hours for troubleshooting and/or maintenance (when necessary).
