POSITION OVERVIEW

As a member of the L Catterton Human Resources team, the Vice President, Human Resources Asia will report into the CHRO and will be solely responsible for the HR function for the firm in Asia. Specifically, the Vice President will be responsible for supporting the full end-to-end employee life cycle; acting as a trusted advisor to the business (investment and non-investment teams), contributing to the ongoing development of the function and implementing best practices therein.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

- Actively supporting the global CHRO (Connecticut based) and other members in the HR team on all relevant local and global initiatives.
- Manage and support the entire employee lifecycle, including operations, talent acquisition, employee relations, learning & development, rewards, performance reviews, and all related projects for all 5 Asia L Catterton offices across Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore, Mumbai and Tokyo
- Develop strong understanding of the business and help identify appropriate local HR initiatives.
- Working closely with and support the wider specialist HR Team (based in the US) in areas such as L&D, Rewards; helping roll out initiatives and communications in the region.
- Be a ‘first line of defense’ for local Employee Relations issues for all agreed client groups.
- Oversight of HR operations: managing the employee journey from onboarding to offboarding and offer letter issuance.
- Provide comprehensive immigration support for new hires, relocating employees, and those traveling internationally by drawing on your knowledge of local immigration processes and your experience in handling immigration matters.
- Managing and reviewing payroll (outsourced by an external vendor), providing data for the region on a monthly basis.
- Collaborate with the US team on year-end processes; take lead on market intelligence and gathering compensation data.
- Assess and engage external search firms to maintain list of preferred vendors; oversee external recruiters to ensure an efficient and effective recruitment process.
- Build firm presence in the market as an employer of choice within private equity.
- Learning and development: taking ownership to oversee existing partnerships with external training vendors in the region. Working with vendors to identify development needs and tailor programs specific to the region. Evaluate and implement additional L&D programs currently offered in the US that would be beneficial for Asia’s workforce. Organize/lead training sessions on relevant HR related topics such as: effective interview skills.

QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor's degree
- A minimum of ten years’ experience in an end-to-end HR role, acted a true generalist / ‘business partner.’
- Able to operate with mínimal in-person supervision, self-starting, extremely hands-on & high energy.
- Experience in an HRBP role within private equity and/or the broader asset management landscape is strongly preferred.
- Strong international experience and / or exposure working in a multinational across multiple jurisdictions and cultures.
- Experience with Workday
- Excellent process-management and research skills
- Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, and appropriately leveraging a broad set of relationships in service of creating opportunity.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, proven ability to influence, develop relationships and work with a diverse group including key external resources, peers, and constituents as well as senior level management.
- Drives impactful results across diverse locations without being physically present, fostering strong international and cross-cultural relationships. Possesses the maturity and experience to grasp the bigger picture and translate it into strategic action.
- Passion for building systems and processes; takes initiative, demonstrates intellectual curiosity, and operates with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Track record as a strong team player, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
