**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Manage and lead the R&I physics department in open innovation and new product development projects from conceptualization to launch.
- Perform simulations and create technical documentations for design and concepts Assess new energy technologies and processes that produce the optimal design and cost outputs
- Drafting of research proposals, presentation slides and manage project deliverables
- Conduct process reviews and process/product improvement by working and communicating with respective department peers, in identifying objectives, budget, requirements, plans and formulate options.
- Develop necessary documentation and reporting required by respective statutory boards/stakeholders
- Ensure projects operations run smoothly by scheduling staff, ordering supplies, maintaining health and safety protocols, as well as training lab technical and quality/control analysis/technical experts in various aspects.
- Ensure good laboratory practices, including sample preparation, handling and record keeping.
- Provide expertise team management, development and retention programme to develop peers.
- Investigating and setting standards for safety and quality.
- Ensure compliance of internal regulation, health and safety rules
- Other ad-hoc tasks / projects assigned by Senior Management/Board member

**Qualifications**:

- A Masters or a recognised PhD degree in Physics, engineering, familiarity with Vibration, frequency and Energy Science or related disciplines
- Proficiency in power system modelling and simulation e.g. Matlab/Simulink, OPAL-RT, PLECS / PSIM and LabVIEW is a plus
- Able to work independently by conducting experiments alone or in teams when required
- Able to manage multiple tasks and projects with teams, and collaborators with respect to the research.
- Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Good oral and written communication skills in English
- Possess strong influencing and collaboration qualities, analytical abilities, and a broad sense of perspective

**Requirements**:

- Ability to manage the team at the same time simultaneously manage projects, seek innovative solutions, continuous improvement of product and process, and drive results to completion on schedule.
- Familiar with modern power systems, renewable energy, energy storage technology and system integration
- Design and conduct experiments, actively learn, and troubleshoot issues from bench to scale up.
- Ensure good laboratory practices, including sample preparation, handling and record keeping.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work while multitasking.
- Demonstrate motivation and a good work ethic under mínimal supervision.
- Must work effectively in team environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

**Salary**: From $80,000.00 per year
