This role reports into the Technical Department leading a group of approximately 14 Process Engineers supporting day to day plant support and initiating projects to improve capacity, efficiency, reduce energy consumption and lower carbon emissions.

**Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to**:
**Provides Technical Support to Existing Facilities**:

- Responsible for long term process and quality improvement using SPC technique
- Review equipment and process modifications through Management of Change Process
- Responsible for troubleshooting of manufacturing and blending problems
- Responsible for developing work off procedures for off-test and obsolete products with inputs from Product Management

**Lead and/or Support New Projects**:

- Lead and manage all projects relating to additional plant capacity, plant process improvements
- Lead and manage all projects that require installation of major equipment in the plant
- Lean Sigma Champion for efficiency improvement, waste minimization and cost reduction projects
- Provide technical support to all plant related projects in the areas of plant design, lineup and process unit performance

**Establish Safe and Optimum Operating Conditions for the Plant**:

- Provide the operating conditions to Operations to run the plant safely and efficiently
- Subject Matter Experts on all plant technical issues
- Continuous monitoring of process unit operating conditions to ensure safe, efficient and long-term reliability of the process units.
- Lead all incident investigation relating to plant process issues and actively participate in other incident investigations.

**Lead in New Component Introduction**:

- Responsible for commercialization process of new components including develop plant trials & conduct test runs.
- Attend quarterly Component Commercialization Group, Component Change Management meetings and Global Manufacturing and Process Meeting.
- Participate in component change management process
- Follow component definition, and provide feedback to changes in component definition

**Job Requirements**
- Degree in Engineering with minimum 10 years of process engineering experience in the refining or chemical processing industry of which at least 3 years in a Supervisory position.
- Extensive knowledge on chemical manufacturing process and component commercialization process
- Good leadership and people management skills to lead a diverse team.
- Strong communication, analytical and planning skills.

**Relocation Options**:
Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.

**International Considerations**:
Chevron participates in E-Verify in certain locations as required by law.
