If this sounds like you, and the career below sounds exciting, we’d like to hear from you. _** **Working Arrangement** Hybrid **The opportunity** **Head of Compliance, MFA** Manulife Financial Advisers Pte Ltd ("MFA") is a subsidiary of Manulife Singapore ("MLS"). oversee all distribution and regulatory compliance work; maintain rapport with stakeholders by maintaining continuing contacts and resolving concerns; plan and coordinate operational activities to guarantee compliance; and ensure that MFA and MFA representatives are compliant with rules and regulations. Compliance - Supervision and oversight over MFA Regulatory Compliance Team including the following areas: - Regulatory and Reporting - AML/CFT - Quality Assurance Reviews - Social Media Review - Review and due diligence of new partners - Maintaining Gift & Entertainment Policy - Maintaining Records Management Policy - Regulatory Advice - Maintaining Outsourcing Policy - Supervision and oversight over MFA Distribution Compliance Team including the following areas: - Balanced Scorecard Framework - Investigations - Fit and Proper Advice - Training and Competency - Risk Management and Reporting - Marketing Material Review - Introducer advice - Accredited Investor advice - Prepare annual compliance workplan. - Prepare compliance updates to Management Committee and Board. - Manage work of teams. - MFA Data Protection Officer. - MFA AMLRO - Liaison with FIDReC, MAS, PDPC. - Oversight on first line on key regulations (handled by other departments) e.g. cyber hygiene standards, market conduct, AML/CFT, data protection, audited areas. - Review and update of MFA Committee Terms of References (TORs) - Ensure adherence to MFA Committee TORs - Member of various MFA Committees. Risk - Drive risk management activities/initiatives to improve the risk culture / risk awareness. - Perform risk assessments, monitor key risk indicators, identify emerging risks - Appointed risk coordinator for MFA - Risk reporting to MLS - Assessment and review of outsourced services - Ensuring risk culture and risk awareness in MFA - Maintain MFA Enterprise Risk Framework - Review and approval of MFA Business Continuity Plan (“BCP”). - Review MFA BCP for Board’s approval. Other general duties - Cover and backup for colleagues on compliance related duties during any absence e.g. medical leave. - Any other tasks / projects assigned. **What motivates you?** - You obsess about customers, listen, engage and act for their benefit. - You think big, with curiosity to discover ways to use your agile approach and enable business outcomes. - You thrive in teams and enjoy getting things done together. - You take ownership and build solutions, focusing on what matters. - You do what is right, work with integrity and speak up. - You share your humanity, helping us build a diverse and inclusive work environment for everyone. **What we are looking for** - Minimum Degree in a relevant discipline - At least 8 to 10 years’ compliance/legal/risk related experience in the insurance industry or a Financial Adviser (“FA”). - Ability to lead and supervise a team - Ability to communicate, articulate and summarize clearly to non-technical audiences on defined contribution compliance issues - Ability to prioritize, organize, and work on multiple tasks simultaneously - Good written and verbal communication skills.
