As part of a broader transformation, we are now searching for a Head of Electronic Security for their Singapore business, reporting to the Managing Director, Singapore.The Role: This business leadership opportunity includes the development and execution of all commercial and organizational strategies in the Electronic Security business to ensure financial and non-financial targets are met. Leading a team of 60 employees in Singapore, you will inspire, cultivate a winning culture and develop a high-performing team. - Responsibility for the overall Department’s performance goals, metrics and takes appropriate steps and course corrections to ensure these are met.
- Developing, defining, communicating, and executing both the strategy and business plan in partnership with MD and Leadership Team to deliver all P&L performance goals.
- Providing strong leadership and direction on cost controls especially in areas of workforce resources, sub-contractor resources, overhead, overtime and project scoping.
- Taking ownership of driving, institutionalising and sustaining profitable business practices with Operations Manager, Service Manager & Sales Manager to ensure the delivery of all projects by stipulated timelines, meet customers’ expectations and within allocated budgets.
- To work closely with the Finance Team to minimize bad debt and maximise cash flow.
- Visit customers, consultants, sub-contractors and owners to establish a good working relationship, as well as propose and recommend our products and services.
- Coordinate and work closely with Supply Chain Team to ensure timely delivery of goods by the supplier and an optimum stock level is maintained based on effective stock purchase forecasts.
- Help drive culture change within the Sales, Service and Operation teams with a strong focus on connecting the employees as one team, as well as ensuring there is a strong focus on customer service and organic growth.
- People management and development. Help drives plans, training & metrics for improving team performance, individual performance and development plans including employee recognition.
- Promoting a safe environment by ensuring the Department understands, enforces, communicates and is accountable to the safety program.Who you are: As an experienced Business Leader, you will be: A proven business leader with at least 8 years business unit leadership experience and with a demonstrable track record of leading and growing a high-performing team, preferably from within Security or core building infrastructure. Strong P&L management experience at a business unit or country level. In-depth knowledge of the financial and operational drivers and control processes of a multimillion-dollar business. Experience of working in a large global enterprise and a familiarity with quality process driven environment. Strong strategic, tactical thinking and execution abilities in a commercial environment Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, able to work independently and collaboratively as a team across all levels. Ideally degree qualified with a background in Business and/or Engineering.
