About the Role

AIAIM’s ODD process seeks to uncover potential business, fund, and operational risks of external Investment Managers and Funds that we allocate capital to, including long only equity and fixed income, private equity, private credit, venture capital and real estate.

Business Risk Oversight plays a critical role in supporting first line business to operate within an effective control environment through adherence with the risk management directives and framework approved by the Board of Directors, Group Risk and management, including outsourcing, risk and control assessment (“RCA”), external control audit (ISAE 3402) and operational errors management and escalation process.- Contribute toward the design, implementation and maintenance of the overall operational due diligence framework for the review and ongoing monitoring of Investment Managers across different alternative strategies and geographic regions.- On an initial and ongoing basis support the Head of ODD & BRO as well as the Manager of ODD to evaluate Investment Managers via:

- Review and evaluate fund documents
- Conduct conference calls and on-site visits with relevant fund operations personnel
- Evaluate the compliance and operational control environment from front to back office
- Assess quality of service providers by conducting conference calls and/or onsite visits as appropriate.- Be the main Accounting SME responsible for working with the ODD Consultants on reviewing Fund Financial Statements as well as being the main point person on supporting Valuation Due Diligence reviews of underlying Investment Managers- Maintain the Outsourcing Register, trigger the outsourcing due diligence review to be performed by all departments and coordinate the sign-offs by stakeholders, track the timeliness of the completion of all outsourcing checklists and prepare the Outsourcing report on the due diligence results of new and existing outsourcing arrangements for CEO as well as for Exco and Board meetings.- Be familiar with the eGRC system used for the annual RCA certifications and guide users on how to perform the risk and control assessments in the system, track the timeliness of the completion of the certifications and contribute towards the preparation of the annual RCA report for the Board by tabulating the RCA results from all departments.- Organise external control audit (ISAE 3402) walkthroughs for the departments with PWC, collate and review the documents provided by departments for PWC’s sample testing and track receipt of documents from the departments.- Maintain error log, contribute towards preparation of the Breach and Error Report to CEO as well as for Exco and Board meetings and reporting of error statistics to various stakeholders in AIAIM and Group.- Participate in the implementation of new systems rolled out by Group to manage operational risks within AIAIM.
