**Key Activities & Responsibilities**
**Business Planning**
- Develop partnership with business leaders to understand business strategy and requirements; drive development of the regional and sub-regional goals, strategic initiatives, scorecards in line with the 3-year Strategic Business Plan (SBP).
- Regular cadence of reviews with consistent presentation of business performance aligned with regional goals; owning the monthly business reviews and ad hoc regional updates.
- Develop tracking structure (e.g., scorecards and dashboards) to report region performance against goals.
- Engage and influence business leaders to implement regional strategies, e.g., COE plans, branding initiatives, collaboration across countries.
- Single point of contact for regional planning activities - regional leadership meetings, town halls, region symposium, employee engagement forums.
- Coordinate deliverables across the leadership staff; follow through action plans to ensure key milestones are met in a timely manner.
- Lead the region and employee-led town halls to provide a platform for leadership team to communicate strategies, business performance, key events, and updates to the employees.
- Lead the employee engagement improvement initiatives, from analysis of the survey outputs, to working with leadership team to create a comprehensive action plan.
**Human Resources**
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees in a professional and timely manner by responding to HR, payroll, and information requests by researching outstanding issues and acting as an employee advocate.
- Interact with and support Regional Offices’ HR.
- Strong working understanding of foreign Employment and Compliance practices.
- Assist with Benefits administration to include claims resolution, Benefits reporting audits, and invoice review.
- Promote and communicate information on employee Benefits and services.
- Work with Recruiting department on Hiring practices and procedures.
- Conducts New Employee Orientation.
- Assist with Employee Relations counseling and solution planning/implementation.
- Assist with Employee Relations programs and events
- Assist in maintaining Human Resource Information System records and Payroll system records.
- Knowledge of Human Resources principles, practices, and responsibilities.
- Understanding of federal and state employment laws.
**Operations**
- Drive opportunities to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency of the region.
- Partner with country leaders to manage office leases, relocation analysis, workplace design and renovation in alignment with global branding guidelines and IT standards.
- Collaborate with global and regional function teams (Finance, P&OD, Marketing, Operations, IT) to improve data quality, planning and reporting effectiveness and efficiency, employee experience, etc.
- Regional liaison into Global Operations to organize or facilitate global programs / events / workshops / trainings on branding, internal communications, employee events, H&S, compliance, system implementation, tools, and processes improvement.
- Establish, maintain, and oversee office procedures. Review standards and quality.
- Monitor annual overhead and capital equipment budgets. Follow through on procurement process, i.e.: office supplies, travel, vending, other services provided to office.
- Manages the travel arrangements of management and staff of the department.
- Coordinate staff schedules for seminars, workshops, and study groups, maintaining records for management purposes.
- Maintain confidential files, including account information.
- Develop and update office systems for record keeping.
- Completes project work that is assigned in a timely manner with mínimal errors.
- Creates and maintains databases, filing system, logs and reports necessary for the company or department to access quickly and efficiently.
- Assists in organizing office events as necessary.
- Provide marketing support to technical operations and sales team and assist them with the pursuit of new business.
- Responsible for regional social media activities and creating materials such as posts, e-blast, videos, and graphics.
- Responsible for updating the website and tracking spreadsheets with initiatives, articles, events, news, etc.
- Assist with tradeshow, event, and career fair coordination.
Qualifications & Requirements:
**QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS**
- A minimum of 15 years general business/administrative experience, preferably in a Project or Pharmaceutical setting.
- A minimum of 3 years management responsibility including supervisory and office management.
- An Associates Degree in Business or equivalent is preferred.
- Proficiency with Adobe/Acrobat and Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook.
- Excellent analytical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate abstract ideas clearly and independently manage complex project objective
