Together, we’re pioneering the future of science and medicine, developing products that enable researchers in the fight to save lives. **Purpose of this role**: The Senior Manager, Supplier Quality Engineering is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) team. The Senior Manager, Supplier Quality Engineering will work with the supply chain management team to develop the overall strategy for supplier quality monitoring, including: audits, scheduling, risk assessment and maintenance of the suppliers quality performance. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following: Responsible for leading globally responsible teams that oversee: Supplier qualification and oversight, Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) program, Supplier qualification quality records Responsible for building and developing a high-performing supplier quality team, including setting team and individual goals and assessing performance. Responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving the SCIEX Supplier Management Process in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and US 21 CFR 820 across multiple global sites. Responsible for the supplier audit program development, maintenance, and implementation. Responsible for investigating supplier quality issues to determine root cause and identify/implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Issue SCARs, ensuring supplier engagement and responsiveness, escalating when necessary. Responsible for participating in the process for new supplier selection and working with suppliers to improve their quality and capability. Deploy and develop supplier and contract manufacturer quality management strategies. Define and manage assurance strategies and plans to reduce part “dead on arrival” (DoA) events ant manufacturing and customer sites. Prevents supplier quality escapes and ensure prompt and effective issue resolution. Establishes escalation channels at suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure sufficient focus and problem-solving for critical issues. Oversees Supplier Quality Key Performance Indicators and associated operating mechanisms, problem-solving when necessary. Serves as the process Subject Matter Expert (SME) during internal and external audits (Quality System Registrars, Regulatory agencies, customers, etc.) Responsible for driving good problem-solving practices within the Supplier Quality Engineering team. Provides input and recommendations for the identification and selection of improvement projects throughout the organization. Collaborates across the organization at all levels, across functional groups and geographic locations, including executive management; manages matrices effectively. Communicates and reports regularly to executive management, users and staff on the quality status of SCIEX suppliers and ongoing problem resolution, escalating when necessary. Utilizes Danaher Business Systems (DBS) tools to drive compliant and effective processes; improves capability to support market growth. Drives "best practices" in all areas of responsibility. Why you? **Basic Qualifications**: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Bachelor's degree in engineering with min 5 years experience in Supplier Quality Engineering or similar engineering field Min 3 years experience in people management, including ability to manage remote teams Demonstrates knowledge of domestic and international quality systems and other standards such as FDA QSR, IVDR, ISO 13485, ISO 9001 Knowledge of quality system management principles and regulatory requirements for medical devices with the ability to train others.
