The Institutional Banking Group Data Chapter is committed to building a data driven organization and maximizing the key data capabilities to transform how IBG does business. The IBG Data Chapter is seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst to drive data-led decision-making and analytics solutions within IBG. This role combines analytical thinking, business understanding, and technical capability, and involves close collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
**Responsibilities**:
- The Data/Business Analyst works within IBG Data Chapter team to understand IBG’s business priorities
- Takes the lead to continuously identify opportunities or assess data solutions where business analytics can create value
- Lead experimentation and data innovation. Perform data discovery and data analysis (e.g., pre/post campaign analysis)
- Build and own data products/solutions for the business, including managing timelines and data product quality. Support the business to operate data products/solutions (e.g., models, dashboards) to achieve business outcomes
**Requirements**:
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, or equivalent qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience working on data/business analytics
- Experience working with technology teams, data scientists and managing deployment of data analytics projects into production environment
- Keen understanding of data science and machine learning techniques
- Competencies in data manipulation tools (e.g., Python, Spark, SQL, QilkView, QilkSense) would be an advantage
- Strong in MS Excel & PowerPoints with ability to visualise and present clear, concise and actionable insights
- Knowledge of transaction banking or corporate banking products would be an advantage
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Ability to navigate in a complex environment and achieve outcomes
- Has a ‘can-do’ attitude
