Responsibilities This role requires a balance of technical proficiency, hands-on involvement, strong business domain knowledge, and stakeholder management skills. The ideal candidate will be adept at navigating complex environments and delivering high-impact solutions that meet the needs of senior stakeholders. • Leverage business banking domain knowledge, preferably in Private or Consumer Banking, to ensure data analytics initiatives are relevant and impactful. Understand key business drivers and objectives, aligning analytics efforts with broader organizational goals to drive strategic success. • Define and articulate complex, high-impact problem statements, utilizing deep technical expertise to recommend and implement data and analytical solutions that address core business challenges and strategic objectives. • Synthesize complex data insights into compelling and easy-to-understand narratives that enhance decision-making at the executive level. Deliver clear, actionable recommendations to senior business leaders, MTJ PC and Squad Leads, effectively managing and meeting the expectations of demanding stakeholders. • Lead and personally engage in exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies. Apply advanced statistical testing and hypothesis validation techniques to ensure insights' reliability, demonstrating a hands-on approach to data exploration. • Lead the design and implementation of impactful and actionable Control Towers for KPI tracking and strategic outcome measurement. Ensure continuous visibility into business performance, aligning analytics initiatives with strategic objectives to maximize value. • Interpret advanced machine learning model results and effectively communicate findings to diverse stakeholders, including those without technical backgrounds, ensuring alignment and shared understanding. Apply data preprocessing techniques, such as feature engineering, scaling, and normalization, to improve machine learning efficacy together with Data Scientists; experience in this area and GenAI is advantageous. • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, including Business Heads, MtJ PC and Squad Leads. Build strong relationships, ensuring a holistic understanding of business needs and the seamless delivery of actionable insights. • Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in data analytics, GenAI, machine learning, and visualization tools. Proactively identify opportunities to optimize processes and drive innovation, applying technical expertise to implement cutting-edge solutions. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field. Masters or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics or equivalent quantitative fields is a plus. • Over 10 years of practical experience in analytics, spanning from descriptive to prescriptive methods, ideally within the financial and banking sectors. • Familiarity with DBS new way of Managing through Journeys by defining and measuring Levers, Drivers and Outcomes of MTJ Value Map is a plus. • Strong analytical skills, high attention to details and problem-solving abilities to interpret complex datasets and draw meaningful insights. • High proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation and programming languages such as Python, R for data analysis. • Experience with data visualization tools such as QlikSense or similar. • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders including Management.
