As a Corporate Communications Manager, you will be accountable for protect and enhance the reputation of Jetstar through effective strategic internal and external communications. Based in Singapore, the primary focus is our communications strategy through media, social media and stakeholder relations across Asia while ensuring strong alignment across our internal communication channels.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Corporate Communications, Jetstar Group, your main accountabilities will include:

- Media Relations
- Developing and managing strategy for external announcements and pitches.
- Develop media strategies for individual projects and launches and identify opportunities to further leverage stories through new channels.
- Manage issues through effective communications strategies, including drafting reactive media statements and plans.
- Work closely with business units across the organisation to proactively identify media issues and opportunities.
- Produce materials media releases, briefing packs, key messages, Q&A’s, speaking notes for executive team.
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop and execute a social media strategy.
- Issues and Crisis Management
- Act in a key communications role during a crisis. Involves working closely with Group Communications team to manage the impact on Jetstar’s brand and reputation.
- Communication Campaigns and Key Projects
- Develop external comms plans and materials for projects working closely with project stakeholders and agencies.
- Assist in event management as required.
- Develop reports to highlight results and success of external comms campaigns or project launches.
- Internal communications
- Manage the positioning of the Jetstar brand and business to team members.
- Maintain strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders and support the communications needs where relevant.
- Management and leadership
- Provide comms advice and support across the business as required.
- Share learnings following successful media campaign, event or issues management.
- Responsible for key internal publications.

To be considered for this role you will ideally have:

- Tertiary Qualification in Communications or Marketing preferred
- At least 7 years’ experience in corporate communications roles.
- Experience in media and social media management in a high-pressure environment.
- Exposure to issues rich and high-profile environments.
- Experience in managing sensitive issues and working closely with executive teams, including developing briefing materials.
- Experience developing communications to reach broad and diverse audiences.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams (marketing, PR, internal and external corporate communications).
- Exposure to highly regulated industries.
- Event management experience (both for media and stakeholder events).
- Outstanding communications skills - verbal and written.
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and with a range of internal/external stakeholders.
- Flexibility and “Customer Service” orientation.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical ability and problem-solving orientation.
- Excellent attention to detail.
