Vice President, Performance and Rewards

**Job Responsibilities:
**Purpose of the role**
Responsible for developing, managing and delivering regional Rewards and Performance Management initiatives to the Branches in Asia Pacific. Also, responsible for providing sound HR advice to the Branches to support decision making on complex reward and performance management issues including but not limited to salary proposals, salary benchmarking and compensation analysis.

- Support the development of the department's strategy
**Customer**
- Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders both within MUFG and externally.
- Work in partnership with colleagues across the region to support the implementation of regional projects at a branch level.
- Work in partnership with global HR department to seek input and guidance on compensation and benefits issues as well as provide project updates.
- Work in partnership with Branch HR to support with adopting global and regional rewards as well as performance management initiatives including but not limited to policies, processes and templates.
- Work in partnership with various external parties including but not limited to salary survey providers to seek Reward advice and services
**People**
- Support, coach and guide team on complex issues.
**Other/ Control**
- Provide HR policy interpretation and guidance on MUFG compensation and benefit policies and processes.
- Develop project scope, project deliverables, project timelines and project documentation.
- Develop/coordinate and manage project activities to be delivered on time and no budget.
- Research Compensation and Benefits regulatory issues and prepare recommendations to mitigate risk to the Bank.
- Review and contribute to complex proposals prepared by Branch HR including but not limited to benefit proposals, salary benchmarking, salary proposals and buy out calculations.
- Support in developing and updating policies to ensure alignment with all relevant regulations.
- Lead and/or support the delivery of local Reward initiatives within the Branch on time, on budget and aligned with local regulations.
- Support in managing the risk profile for the department by providing sound policy advice to support decision making in the business.
- Prepare various reports including but not limited to compensation and performance management.
- Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations.
- Participate in relevant committees in the Branch.
- Adhere to all company policies as well as guidelines.
**Job Requirements**:
- Minimum 8 years of Performance & Rewards / Compensations & Benefits experience within the banking industry
- Detailed understanding of Compensation and Benefits
- Strong knowledge of regional pay and benefits regulations in Asia
- Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments
- Strong communication skills with ability to influence others and sell HR solutions
- Strong coaching, mentoring and leadership skills to manage a team
- Degree qualified
