HBA Graphics is the branding design division of Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), the world’s leading hospitality design firm. We create brand environments via visual communications for brand identity, signage and wayfinding, and environmental graphics for projects spanning across hospitality, commercial, retail, food and beverage, and lifestyle industries.

**About the role**

We are seeking a creative and proactive Graphic Designer to join our creative design team focusing on spatial communication within hospitality environments and mixed-use developments.

You will be designing impactful and engaging visual communications within the physical built environment (exterior and interior spaces) from concept through to completion. You will be producing graphics ranging from wayfinding systems and signage design, branding creation of visual identify systems, logos, typography crafting, branded collaterals, packaging design, along with environmental graphics, large scale murals and placemaking features.

**Key Experience**:

- Experience in managing projects from concept to implementation, by guiding designers, managing project deliverables, and consultants
- Excellent presentation skills with direct experience presenting to clients
- Experience with planning, documentation and management of wayfinding and signage, environmental graphics, and branding projects in the context of the built environment
- Familiarity with architectural construction documents, sections, plans and elevations, proficiency in drawing in scale
- Working knowledge of print production, signage fabrication and materials, along with vendor management
- Ability to visualise and document ideas in 2D and 3D
- Strong in strategic design thinking for brand creation and wayfinding systems
- Strong in design conceptualisation through meaningful stories with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and ideas to clients and stakeholders
- Strong illustration, typography, composition and information design skills across multiple project types such as print communications or digital tools (i.e. websites, apps, etc.)

**Qualification Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, industrial design, environmental spatial design, architecture, visual communication or similar
- 5+ years professional experience in a related field of work
- Proven experience and portfolio of brand creation, and wayfinding and signage design projects
- Highly proficient in Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop. Knowledge of other Adobe Creative Suite programs, CAD Tools, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other 3D programs would be a bonus.
- Proficient in speaking, reading and writing in English, plus Mandarin Chinese would be an advantage
- Passion, integrity, innovative spirit, and positive self-motivated personality

**Experience**:

- Wayfinding Design: 2 years (preferred)
- Signage Systems: 2 years (preferred)
- Branding & Identity Design: 2 years (preferred)
- Environmental Graphics: 2 years (preferred)
