From our Singapore office we work with our in-house design and engineering teams from Singapore to Cambridge and Boston.
**What we are looking for**:
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with energy, enthusiasm, and talent to help us drive the growth of our Medical Technology business in Asia from our Singapore office. We need an entrepreneurial, motivated, success-oriented team player who is looking to roll up their sleeves and help build our medical technology practice globally; this role will require tenacity, patience and focus as you build new and meaningful client relationships, collaborating closely with colleagues from around the globe.
You are a well-rounded engineer or technical leader, ready to manage all project activities related to product development of Class II and Class III electro-mechanical and software systems from definition and concept phase through to implementation and production. You are known as a problem solver and a team player with excellent communication skills. You understand how to engage stakeholders and factor in their needs. You are well organised and documentation doesn’t faze you. You love the idea that the work you will be doing ultimately will be making a difference to people’s lives.
**Your role**:
There is no such thing as a typical project. Your clients will be vary from ambitious start-ups to major global multinationals. Each will have different expectations for how they want their projects to be run. Projects will range from technology strategy advice, through product realization and NPI. Our Project Managers are resourceful and excel in their ability to take on something new with each project, adapting to many different functions, activities, and client needs.
Project management activities you will be responsible for include:
- Working with clients to understand their needs and the value Cambridge Consultants can bring to their business.
- Building the right project team across geographies.
- Estimating timeline, resource, budget and key technical risks for proposal preparation.
- In close partnership with technical leaders, designing, planning, estimating, and preparing developing project proposals that meet our clients’ commercial and technical requirements.
- Communicating project proposals to clients, making it very clear how they meet your clients’ needs.
- Once underway, driving projects through the entire lifecycle, keeping teams on task, on time, and on budget.
- Providing critical information on program status, risks, and issues to your clients, enabling you and them to work together to make informed decisions on the direction of projects.
- Leading and directing meetings with clients, keeping meetings on point and efficient.
- Playing a key role as part of the technical team - facilitating team meetings and design reviews, discussing technical trade-offs, monitoring and mitigating technical risks, and asking the right questions to understand project status.
**What you need to succeed**:
You need to be an experienced Medical Development Project Manager with enthusiasm to succeed and develop in the role, thriving on the freedom and responsibility it offers.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree (equivalent or more advacned degree) in an Engineering, technical or scientific discipline
- Experience having worked in product development in a regulated industry with significant hands-on experience in Systems Engineering.
- Experience working directly alongside engineers and developers, building and motivating teams to succeed.
- Experience in taking medical device designs through the regulatory approval process.
**Core skills and experience**
- Curiosity and drive to understand clients’ businesses, technologies, and needs.
- Experience with the design and commercialization of Class II and III electromechanical and software systems including working knowledge of ISO 13485 and IEC 62304.
- Experience interfacing with medical professionals
- Ability to communicate complex technical messages to non-technical stakeholders, verbally and in written reports.
- Experience of managing and mitigating significant technical and commercial risks.
- Experience in working with cross geographical project teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others on cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.

- Experience in program delivery using Agile methodologies.
- Experience in a fee-for-service organization and consultative selling for engineering services.
