Singapore BUILDING ASSOCIATES (S) PTE LTD Full time

We are looking for WSH Officer to work in our construction company.

The WSH Officer is responsible for implementing and enforcing Workpalace Safety and Health (WSH) policies at contruction sites to ensure compliance with Singapore's statutory requirements. The role involves conducting risk assessments, inspecting work environments, and promoting a strong safety culture among site personnel.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure full compliance with the WSH Act, MOM regulations, and relevant SS (Singapore Standards).
- Develop and implement Safety Management Systems (SMS) and site-specific safety plans.
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective measures.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, or near-misses and submit incident reports to relevant authorities.
- Maintain all safety records, documentation, and statutory registers (e.g., Permit-to-Work system, Safe Work Procedures).
- Conduct Toolbox Meetings, safety briefings, and training for workers.
- Liaise with with operations staff, Project Managers, main contractors, WSH Officers, REs (Resident Engineers), and RTOs (Resident Technical Officers) to ensure compliance across site activities.
- Attend project meetings and provide safety input during planning stages.
- Coordinate emergency response plans and first-aid readiness on-site.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or Degree in Workplace Safety and Health, Engineering, or related field.
- Registered WSH Officer with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant construction safety experience.
- Strong knowledge of local construction regulations, WSH standards, and risk management practices.
- Familiarity with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 45001) is an advantage.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with multiple stakeholders.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced construction environment.

**Preferred Certifications**:

- WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH
- First Aid and Fire Safety Certification
