**What it's about**

In this role of Senior Compliance Officer (Hong Kong) you will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day compliance function and ensuring the regulatory obligations are met in accordance to regulatory changes and business needs of our Hong Kong entity. In addition, you will form part of the regional compliance team in Asia. This role presents an excellent opportunity to achieve personal success and contribute to the growth of our business in Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identifying, understanding and interpreting Hong Kong legislation and regulation
- Being the point of contact for the Hong Kong SFC for regulatory compliance matters
- Monitoring and responding to regulatory developments in Hong Kong
- Ensuring compliance with the regulatory obligations in Hong Kong
- Ensuring that regulatory reporting and filing is completed timely and accurately
- Reporting to the Regional Head Compliance and providing support to the regional compliance team in Asia as well as ad-hoc support to the global compliance team
- Work on global projects as part of the global compliance team
- Providing compliance advice and support to the business (particularly marketing and private wealth related) in the Hong Kong entity and other regional countries.

**What we expect**
- We are looking for individuals who have relevant legal or compliance experience in the financial services industry in Hong Kong
- University graduate in Law, Business, Accounting or related discipline.
- 7-10+ years of relevant regulatory compliance experience, in the Asset Management / Investment Management industry in particular in Hong Kong.
- Experience dealing with the SFC rules and other relevant Hong Kong legislation and regulation as well as adapting them into practical day-to-day business practices
- Experience working on global projects in an international firm
- Team player and collaborative approach is a must.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present analysis and recommendations.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in problem-solving and being able to implement and deliver solutions independently.
- Successful in building, maintaining and leveraging internal and external relationships including with the relevant Hong Kong regulator(s), auditors and other stakeholders.
