Project Title

Develop high frequency characterization methodology for high-speed signal integrity analysis

Description of Project / Objectives

Project Overview:
With high speed interconnects in AMD coming products, high frequency signal integrity analysis is critical for SerDes designs. By By using cutting-edge tools both in hardware and software, key electrical parameters such as loss and crosstalk would be captured for modeling validation.

Description of Main Project Scopes:

- Measurement calibration and de-embedding optimization
- Post process of s-parameters for signal integrity analysis
- Documentation of developed and automated characterization methodology

Responsibilities:
Measurement with Vector Network Analyzer, s-parameters, calibration, de-embedding, insertion/reflection loss

What the Coop can expect to learn from this project:
Gain industry experience working on high-end electrical characterization tools such as Vector Network Analyzer, micro-probing and Physical Layer Test System and gain knowledge in Signa Integrity in R&D department.

Join us and learn about electrical characteristics like impedance, insertion/return loss and crosstalk impact in high-speed signalling

Skills Required / Technical Skills

(List specific skills preferred and state if training will be provided)
- Communication skills and Microsoft Office tools
- Fundamental knowledge about printed circuit board layout or substrate, impedance, signal transmission and return loss
