Formative Search has partnered with a leading energy and urban solutions provider with a track record of providing innovative solutions to drive the energy transition and build a sustainable future.

They are currently looking for a Senior Procurement/Category Manager to join their Group Procurement Team, reporting to the Group Procurement Head. This role is responsible for fulfilling the category management for the company.

**Responsibilities**:

- Analyze market insights, supplier requirements, and business requirements to formulate a strategy for the assigned categories aligned with the company’s strategies
- Assist business stakeholders and market procurement leads to understanding business priorities and guide them in developing and executing operational strategies
- To create the greatest value possible by leveraging category strategies. Satisfy business needs via patterning and make sure that critical business requirements are met
- Negotiate, manage and develop supplier relationships. Identify and develop new suppliers.
- Securing the support of business stakeholders
- Provide support for the development of policies and standardization of processes

**Requirements**:

- Degree/Diploma holder with minimum 10 years of relevant procurement experience
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Able to manage and execute multi-year projects from beginning to end
- Project management knowledge with ability to influence internal senior stakeholders
- Familiarity with EPC, MRO, Opex/Capex spend
- Proven capability in managing complex negotiations and contract management
- Able to work in a cross-cultural environment
- Open to travel periodically
- Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g., SAP Material Management and SAP Ariba)
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
