**About the Role**

The Senior Director, Capital Structuring & Investment Management will lead IIX's blended finance and capital structuring initiatives, including Orange Bond structuring and the management of IIX's investment and Women's Livelihood Bond (WLB) portfolio. This role is crucial in designing innovative financial solutions that mobilize capital for impact-driven investments.

The position reports directly to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO). The role will also work closely with the Director for Credit Portfolio Management to ensure alignment between structuring and credit portfolio management.

**Key Responsibilities**

1. Capital Structuring & Blended Finance Solutions
- Lead the structuring of blended finance vehicles, optimizing risk-return profiles for investors while maximizing impact.
- Develop and manage IIX's Orange Bond structuring service offering, ensuring transactions are effectively designed to attract institutional and private capital. (Labelling work is handled separately.)
- Structure innovative financial instruments, including credit enhancement mechanisms and first-loss capital solutions.
- Conduct financial modeling and structuring analysis, ensuring alignment with investor expectations and impact goals.

2. Investment & Portfolio Management
- Oversee and manage IIX's investment portfolio (WLB series), ensuring strong financial performance and measurable impact.
- Support the CIO, in overseeing the management of the Women's Livelihood Bond (WLB) Series portfolio, ensuring investments align with gender-lens investing principles.
- Collaborate with the Director for Credit Portfolio Management to align WLB Series structuring with portfolio risk management.
- Support the CIO in monitoring the portfolio performance and optimize investment strategies to enhance impact and financial returns.

3. Orange Bond Structuring (Excluding Labelling Work)
- Lead the structuring of Orange Bonds, ensuring transactions align with market demand and IIX's capital mobilization strategy.
- Conduct due diligence on potential Orange Bond issuances, ensuring financial viability and impact alignment.
- Work with the General Counsel to ensure compliance with financial and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with the Senior Director, Investor Relations & Market Development to align structuring efforts with investor engagement.

4. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals focused on capital structuring, investment management, and blended finance.
- Work closely with the General Counsel, who currently oversees risk responsibilities. (There is no CRO yet.)
- Collaborate with the Director for Credit Portfolio Management to ensure alignment between structuring and credit portfolio strategies.
- Engage with IIX's leadership team to drive the organization's innovative finance strategy.

**Key Qualifications & Skills**

**Required**:

- 10-15 years of experience in investment banking, structured finance, or impact investing.
- Expertise in financial structuring, capital structuring, and portfolio management.
- Strong knowledge of blended finance, sustainable bonds, and impact investing, particularly in gender-lens finance.
- Experience managing investment portfolios and conducting financial due diligence.
- Leadership experience in managing teams and cross-functional projects.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with DFIs, private investors, and government entities.

**Preferred**:

- Experience structuring social bonds, green bonds, or blended finance vehicles.
- Knowledge of capital markets, structured debt, and impact investment funds.
- Prior experience in ASEAN or South Asia.
