Singapore Amazon Web Services Singapore Full time

Law degree (J.D. or equivalent) from a leading law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Singapore and/or the US, UK or other recognized jurisdictions.
- Transactional drafting and negotiation experience, gained at a leading law firm and/or in-house at a major multinational corporation.
- Professional level fluency of English, written and spoken.

Job summary

Amazon’s Legal Department is looking for a talented commercial transaction lawyer based in Singapore to support Amazon Web Services, the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, offering cloud computing and IT services in such areas as compute, storage, databases, internet of things, machine learning, quantum technologies, robotics, as well as providing training, digital transformation consulting and more.
This Corporate Counsel will primarily support AWS’s Commercial Sales, Marketing and Business Development activities around the Asia-Pacific region. They will be responsible for drafting, negotiating and advising on strategic commercial agreements with AWS’s enterprise customers and partners. They will also work directly with the business, providing day-to-day advice for senior executives and other business members, supporting projects and programs, resolving issues that arise in existing relationships, and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.
- In house experience at a technology company or in a private practice technology group.
- Familiarity with IT/technology licensing, outsourcing and services agreements.
- Understanding of intellectual property, competition and privacy issues.
