**What the role is**
- The Population Policy & Planning Team at PMO-Strategy Group drives the whole-of-government effort to tackle challenges and seize opportunities associated with Singapore’s current and future population. The team’s tasks include policy reviews, population planning, and policy research to drive and coordinate Singapore’s immediate and longer-term population strategies.

**What you will be working on**
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to answer population-related policy questions, using techniques including statistics, forecasting, sampling, econometric modelling, cluster analysis, and randomised control trials. - Coordinate and facilitate collaborative policy research and analysis across PMO-Strategy Group, and with external agencies and academics. - Provide accurate and timely updates on population trends and scenarios to management - Provide input on the classification, use and interpretation of population-related data across government - Develop policy recommendations to address Singapore's population challenges and needs.

The ability to work in teams and across agencies - Strong analytical and writing skills to interpret and frame data-driven policy insights - Strong quantitative skills, including the confidence to work with large datasets and data analytical tools - High attention to detail - The ability to work, plan and manage projects independently - Intellectual curiosity towards a wide range of topics including those relating to Singapore society, the economy and Singapore’s infrastructure needs - A flexible thinker, willing to have one’s own assumptions challenged - Highly adaptable and driven to innovate, able to embrace new methodologies and tools
