Could this be the scene for your next career move? We are currently recruiting for a Supplier Relationship & Optimization Manager to join our Operations team.

Stolt Tank Containers (STC) is a leading provider of door-to-door transportation services for bulk
- liquid chemicals and food-grade products. With a fleet of more than 45,000 tank containers, STC is the only operator with its own worldwide network of 22 owned and joint venture depots. You will be joining a professional and international team with extensive knowledge of the industry. Working closely with our customers and vendors, you will provide customers with excellent service. Your expertise ensures that we will continue to set the industry benchmark for seamless and efficient operations.

The Supplier Relationship & Optimization Management at STC is responsible for nurturing collaborative supplier partnerships, ensuring operational excellence, and optimizing costs within the designated region. This role involves monitoring supplier performance, providing guidance to internal stakeholders, and enhancing supply chain efficiency while streamlining supplier facing processes.

**Key Responsibilities**

The following lists the key responsibilities which the Supplier Relationship & Optimization Manager is expected to cover:

- Performance Management - Monitoring performance of suppliers against the key performance indicators (KPI). Ensuring suppliers meet established goals and standards. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Deliver timely and constructive feedback to suppliers in relation to their performance. Communicate performance results and measures taken to internal stakeholders.
- Supply Chain Efficiency & Optimization - Continuously seek opportunities to achieve cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency. This may involve exploring alternative routings and identifying new potential suppliers (with Procurement Team). Collaborate with operations/procurement teams on the resolution of blocked supplier invoices, monitoring disputes and supporting their journey to resolution, while Identifying invoice trends and optimizing supplier invoicing processes. Manage STC’s actual allocation and available capacity of suppliers relating to agreements, ensuring the agreed most appropriate suppliers are utilized.
- Sustainability - Explore methods for enhancing sustainability in line with STC’s sustainability goals, such as employing multimodal alternatives and inland waterways instead of exclusively relying on truck transportation. Implement route optimization by identifying superior transport routes (reducing the distance travelled) and any other means to reduce STC’s carbon footprint.
- Onboarding - Responsible for the process of integrating suppliers into the business, providing training to suppliers to comprehend on customer specifics, ensuring successful onboarding, adoption, and implantation of the new supplier. Responsible for updating internal stakeholders on supplier services on a regular basis, as well as ensuring suppliers are using the relevant digital tools to drive internal efficiency.
- Compliance & Safety - Contribute to the identification of root cause, corrective, and preventive action in case of major supplier events. Uphold compliance with industry regulations and safety standards, ensuring all operations are conducted in a safe and responsible manner. Act as key escalation point for internal stakeholders for major supplier related events and incidents that need to be addressed to suppliers (communication failures, quality concerns, etc.).
- Cross-functional Collaboration - Lead and Advocate for suppliers internally, aligning with internal teams to collaborate on initiatives improving supplier/customer satisfaction and supply chain efficiency. Maintain routine updates to our internal teams and bring clarity on expectations on supplier services. Initiate regular training to operations and commercial staff to create awareness of all multimodal routes and schedules.Project Management - Lead and Manage various projects as they arise.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5 years of experience working in a logistics/shipping company
- Must have extensive knowledge of the logistics industry and transportation networks in their relevant regionMust have experience working in an international environment
