**Job Scopes & Responsibilities**
- Fleet Operations: To ensure the vessel under your command is in a safe and seaworthy condition and ready for charter. Ensure the standardized implementation of ship management key processes and procedures, ensure that vessels operations are performed to the highest possible standard and ensure customer satisfaction is achieved.
- Asset Management: Monitor processes related to asset preservation, life-cycle optimization, preventative maintenance and repair, including drydocking of managed vessels, in order to keep the vessels in high level of performance within an optimized cost of operations.
- Process Development: To review and lead continuous improvement on management process and system implementation, to ensure clarity in roles and responsibilities, efficiency and effectiveness. Highlight issues and propose solutions on management process and system.
- Cost Optimization: Review and monitor fleet operating costs of managed vessels and ensure follow up of cost control. Provide analytical reporting for ship management and corporate management review and support the development of accurate decision making.
- Incident Management: Report incidents and other items of concern to the management for decision as to whether these can be considered a crisis and to assist as required. Ensure that Owners are advised of incidents or other concerns.
- Team Management: Allocate proper resources to fleet team to ensure effective and efficient ship management operations. Identify training needs of the Fleet teams, develop programs to ensure continuous improvement, and ensure that Fleet teams are kept aware of new regulations and industry initiatives.

**Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Qualifications)**
- Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture or equivalent, or Chief Engineer’s qualification
- At least 10 years of relevant experiences with strong technical background in a senior position with exposure in managing Dry Bulk Carriers/Gas Ships/Chemical Tankers
- Comprehensive knowledge of maritime operations, technical requirements and international regulations
- Strong analytical and planning skills, project management and time management skills
- Committed to vigorous quality and cost control
- Excellent decision-making skills
- Skilled organizer and communicator at all levels
- Demonstrated strong leadership and people management skills
- Good negotiator and is able to manage and maintain relationships with Clients.
