- This role requires a good understanding of the country and its culture. The role is perfect for a digital marketer that has a strong strategic mindset and understands how to increase both free and paid users in the region.
- The role will be based in our Singapore office and may require travel to other Spotify offices. The team is part of the bigger Freemium Department, with the mission to bring Spotify to more users across the globe.
What you'll do
- Your mission will be to implement and roll out the growth strategy with the goal of driving paid and free subscriber growth
- Main objectives are to engage and retain free users and convert as many as possible to paid users
- Implement marketing campaigns on owned media channels to drive subscriber growth across the Spotify Premium portfolio and/or engage current free users
- Understand customer, industry, and competitor trends/behaviours in-market (macro, external, internal). Based on that, you will identify growth opportunities
- Optimize subscriber growth along the whole conversion funnel - from Direct marketing to payment, onboarding, migration and retention. You work with global internal teams and selected external partners to drive those initiatives
- Work closely with other teams, especially local consumer marketing, Artist and label partnerships, and business development. That's how you ensure maximum growth across all the business levers that we have at our disposal
- You will also work with the wider Freemium team, based globally, to address challenges in conversion, payment, engagement, retention, etc
Who you are
- Have at least 2 years of working experience with relevant industry experience in an online consumer business (streaming services, e-commerce, online media or a tech start-up)
- Worked on digital marketing campaigns and CRM before
- You speak proficient English and ideally also one local language in Asia
- Good knowledge and insights into emerging markets across SEA and India (online) consumer market and media landscape
- Able to work remotely from other team members, but even so, manage to stay in sync and influence internal team members by being an excellent communicator
- You have a proven record of leading and implementing projects independently and getting things done in a cross-functional organization. You will not always have direct control of all the resources, but you still get the job done
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree or a similar degree from a top-ranked school
