Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated, self-driven and energetic individual to join our Electrical Engineering team at our Singapore R&D. You will become a member of Illumina’s team doing cutting-edge development of sequencing platforms - and enjoy a fast-paced dynamic environment and a culture of open communication and mutual respect The Electrical Engineering team defines, develops, and commercializes our designs for new, industry-leading sequencing instruments for life sciences and clinical markets.

**Responsibilities**:
- Lead the electrical system design and development of next generation sequencing platform.- Develop, implement, and verify electric design ensuring functionality and performance meet specifications.- Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to define system requirements and design specifications and ensure seamless integration of all subsystems.- Collaborate with project management to ensure the successful execution of projects from concept to production.- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of engineers.

**Requirements**:
- Extensive experience in mixed-signal circuit design.- Solid Electrical Engineering background including PCB and circuit design- Proficiency simulation tools, and PCB design tools.- Experience in embedded systems design- Experience with RTL design using Verilog- Experience using Xilinx Vivado Design Suite- Proven leadership experience in guiding engineering teams.- Be curious and analytical, with a proven ability to learn quickly- Be customer-focused, team-oriented, and motivated, taking ownership of assigned tasks- Have proven ability to self-manage, as well as manage interdisciplinary relationships- Have experience leading design efforts- Have proven verbal and written communication skills- Have the ability to drive tasks through to completion- Required to pass color perception test for designing circuits- Possess proven troubleshooting skills- Comfortable to take morning calls with US teams- Comfortable in traveling to US for training purposes

Preferred:
- Familiarity with FPGA design, simulation and implementation.- Knowledge of low-power design techniques.- Programming skills (e.g., Python, C++) for automation and analysis.

**Education**:
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or related field with 15+ years experience or PhD with 10+ industry experience
