Keppel Group Digital Office drives the exploration and adoption of new ideas, technologies and initiatives across the group. We marry human centred design principles with technology to catalyse and support positive change in how business units across the group operate.
A business analyst is responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders.
The intern will be responsible in the following:
- Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns and present information using data visualization techniques.- Discover business needs and propose data analytics solutions to support them.- Translate business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses.- Define the data architecture framework, standards and principles to support analytics use cases.- Collaborate with data engineering and business teams to propose solutions and strategies to business challenges.
Learning Outcomes:
- Experience of working in real-life projects which affects the revenue & profit of a multi-national company.- Experience of working in a multi-cultural team.- End to end understanding of Implementing a Data Project starting from pain point discovery to user feedback.
JOB REQUIREMENTS- Analytical mind and business acumen.- Problem-solving aptitude.- Excellent communication and presentation skills.- Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g.PowerBI).- Knowledge of SQL and Python/R.- Understanding of big data frameworks (e.g. Spark, Hadoop).
