We’re looking for a **Senior Analyst - APAC Risk and Controls**who is passionate about our mission of Money Without Borders to partner with our product, engineering, risk and compliance teams to help drive data-driven decisions that would support building and scaling risk controls and assurance across our products in APAC.

The focus of this team is to ensure continuous regulatory compliance across all our product streams. We’re the team that builds guardrails that ensure that our customers can transact on the platform with a peace of mind, knowing that their accounts and funds are kept safe, and products adhere to global regulatory standards.

**How you’ll contribute**:

- Provide data driven insights that help inform product decisions, such as trade-off decisions for risk controls and impact sizing of initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to continuously optimise experience for our customers whilst adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Develop, monitor and report on team North Star metrics, collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure alignment and progress towards strategic goals.
- Make contributions to the wider product goals of the company to achieve our Mission: Money without borders.
- Work cross-functionally with global teams to ensure alignment and integration of regional initiatives with Wise’s overall strategy.

**Qualifications**:

- At least 4+ years of analytics experience
- Strong analytical mind and product intuition, centered around the banking and financial industry in APAC.
- Technical skill-set in Python, advanced SQL, BI tools
- Experience working with technical teams (PMs, engineers, designers, analysts)
- Relevant experience in a data driven and complex environment with limited guidance
- Understanding of events data - Mixpanel / Google Analytics / Amplitude or similar
- Excellent data visualisation and presentation skills
- Hustler-mentality. You can take work beyond the analysis and get things done.

**Good to have**:

- Prior experience working with regulators / compliance especially within the fintech space is advantageous
- Knowledge of the fintech ecosystem in APAC
- Knowledge of utilities like Airflow/Github/DBT
- Experience on funnel optimization
- Experience in Data Science and Machine Learning
- Interest in learning new tools
