Ad Hoc Legal Counsel

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Legal Advisory**
Provide legal advice on a range of matters, including corporate and commercial matters, including contract review, reviewing NDAs and engagement letters.
**Contract Review and Drafting**
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
Identify potential risks and propose appropriate solutions to safeguard the company’s interests.
**Risk Management**
Assess potential legal risks in business operations and recommend strategies for mitigation.
Support the implementation of risk management policies and procedures.
**Regulatory Compliance**
Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to the company’s industry and ensure timely compliance.
Provide guidance on data protection, privacy laws, and other applicable regulations.
Ensure compliance with national, and international laws applicable to the business.
**Dispute Resolution**
Offer advice and representation on legal disputes, collaborating with external counsel when necessary.
Assist in resolving conflicts while minimizing litigation risks.
**Internal Collaboration**
Work closely with various teams, including HR, Finance, and Operations, to provide legal support on specific projects or issues.
Educate staff on legal requirements and best practices where needed.
**Qualifications**:
- Degree in Law or equivalent
- Good interpersonal and communications skills
- Able to work well independently as well as in a team
- Experience in corporate or commercial law, preferably with exposure to fintech or sustainability sectors.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Flexibility to provide legal support on short notice and manage ad hoc requests.
