Analyst - Structured Rates Trading

Barclays is a leading market maker in the Global Interest Rates Options market, offering world-class execution in non-linear products. The Rates Options and Structured Rates business is run globally, with centres of excellence in London, New York and Singapore.

This is an exciting opportunity to join us as an Analyst - Structured Rates Trading. You will be a trader for Interest Rate Options and Structured Notes and run a global book by working very closely with our counterparts mainly across Japan, HK, SG, New York and London. You will generate trade ideas and work closely with Structuring and Sales to come up with solutions that help serve our clients better.

You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in the role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, as well as job-specific technical skills.
- University / Master degree from top schools
- Strong analytical skills, proficient in Python, VBA
- Relevant experiences in Global Markets.
- Familiar with rates options products and their associated risks
- Good knowledge and certain level of independence in pricing, risk management and life cycling of trades
- Keen interest in macro market and options trading
- Have the necessary skills to develop Barclays to become the go-to house for Rates Options Trading

This role is regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

**Purpose of the role**

To execute trades and manage risk within a defined portfolio of financial instruments and staying informed about market trends and developments to make informed trading decisions.

**Accountabilities**
- Execution of buy and sell orders or pricing of liquidity in various financial instruments while adhering to the bank's trading strategies and risk parameters.
- Monitoring and analysis of global financial markets, economic indicators, news, and geopolitical events to identify trading opportunities and assess market risks.
- Management and monitoring of the risk associated with the trading portfolio and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal risk management guidelines.
- Collaboration with research analysts and other teams to gather insights and information for trading decisions.
