Business Analyst

We have been evolving our Reference Data Platform over the past few years and are looking for an individual who will help us determine its future state. Our platform needs to be the single source of truth for security reference data in the firm. You will be an integral part of the team, responsible for helping to build and improve our APIs, backend server processes, and tools. The current technology stack is split across AWS and on-prem datacenters and is Linux based, utilizing Asset Control, Java, FE, shell scripts, Oracle, Aurora PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes (EKS). The roadmap for an evolving technology stack is in progress and will leverage AWS for portions of the platform going forward.

Principal Responsibilities
- Architect and develop REST & GraphQL APIs and back end processes - some of which are in AWS.
- Architect and develop event based security data feeds using Kafka.
- Develop and enhance Enterprise reference data model to move the data landscape in the strategic direction
- Development primarily in Java & Angular, but on occasion in various scripting languages
- Work cross-functionally with various teams, creating solutions that deal with large volumes of data
- Work with other members of the team to ensure data is ingested, curated/standardized, stored, and managed properly to support firm needs

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of professional Java development experience using Spring framework
- Angular 8+ and above experience.
- Oracle and/or Sql Server experience is required
- Experience in leveraging & configuring CI/CD pipelines for delivery is required.
- Highly analytical with good problem solving skills and creativity; able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Positive individual with strong communication skills; able to interface well with users and other development teams
- Self-driven individual with an ability to work under pressure

Skills Desired
- Understanding of financial services instruments is a plus
- Experience utilizing Kafka or related technologies is a plus
- Experience with Hibernate is a plus
- Delivery orientated individual
