The Finance Director for the APAC region acts as financial business partner for the APAC region and sits on the APAC Leadership team. In this role you will support Regional strategy in all key activities (reporting, planning, portfolio support, resource allocation) and provide relevant analysis. You will operate as a business partner to support financial decision-making. The role also leads a team and takes ownership for their development, as well as implementing a roadmap for systems and process improvements.

In this role you will:
Business Partnering
- Be a strategic leader within the APAC region.
- Act as a business partner for the Head of the Region by providing analysis for proper financial/economic assessment
- Support the Region’s decision-making process to achieve the sales ambition by creating transparency and correct risk assessments
- Recommend and challenge actions to maximize business capabilities on a short/long term basis
- Align financial performance with other divisions (Alliances, distributor partners)
- Support Mid-term and long-term strategic topics
- Support and lead ad hoc projects (companywide, divisional or locally developed)
- Support best practice sharing across the organization
- Support preparation for Monthly and Quarterly Business reviews

Financial planning and reporting
- Coordinate monthly Reporting (Sales, PnL, HC, etc.) and related analytics
- Be the finance point of contact for the region and be Accountable for the APAC PnL.
- Develop reports and recommend improvements to assist in more meaningful management analysis. Support Head of APAC with planning, consolidation and presentations.
- Supervise the forecast, budget and long term planning process ensuring submission in accordance with group requirements
- Establish and review procedures to guarantee the consistency, relevance and reliability of administrative and financial flow of information
- Participate to the elaboration of Region’s Strategic Planning (from instructions/guidelines to deliverables)
- Assists to countries in the financial preparations of their Strategic planning exercise.
- Prepare in depth analysis and transversal benchmarks, drive the regional consolidation overview
- Ensure that internal controls are properly established within the organization (ensure that mitigation plans elated to Finance topics are established following internal audit controls).
- Monitor SiT level across the region leveraging all sources of data (internal and external)

Leadership
- Build and develop a strong Finance team within the region. Identify talents and participate to the development of the finance pool of talents.
- Animate the finance community across the region. Ensure best practice sharing
- Contributes to the training of new local Finance Managers
- Act as a facilitator/project coordinator for any business project initiated by the country which requires support and expertise of different functions at HQ level
- Part of the regional leadership team and SC FLT
- Functional leader of the country CFOs in the region

Finance Function
- Continuously challenge the status quo and seek efficiencies within regional / country finance organization
- Continuously improve processes and communication
- Develop and improve various sub-functions within finance in the region (e.g. internal controls, Accounting SSC, FPnA CoE, etc.)

In order to be considered for this role you should demonstrate the following:

- Postgraduate degree in Financial and Management Accounting or CPA/CA qualified
- Experience in effectively managing a team of people
- Experience in the preparation of Financial Statements
- Experience in working in cross-functional teams, cross-cultural environment - across several geographic areas preferred
- Exposure to and knowledge of supply chain and the distribution
- Demonstrated experience in strategically contributing to business outcomes and success
- Excellent data reporting and analysis skills
- Excellent strategic planning and organising skills, and an attention to detail
