Program Manager, Tech Learning

**Get to know the Team**

Grab's Technical Learning, Strategic Partnership & Events team works closely with various learning and development partners and organises Grab-wide events including, but not limited to, tech conferences, hackathons, and tech talks to help onboard and continuously supercharge the technical expertise of our internal engineering, product, data science/AI organisations.

As a Program Manager for this team, you play a crucial hands-on role in building a learning culture across the technical families at Grab. In this role, you will plan and drive execution of tech training initiatives, conferences and events that have a tremendous impact on the engineers in the organisation. Your overall goal is to promote self-learning and empower Grabbers to be successful in their roles through training, certification and engagement events. Excited and driven by a passion for helping others grow, you plan and strategise ways by which you can drive visibility for training programs making learning and growing on-the-job both fun and effective.

**The day-to-day responsibilities**

As a Senior Program Manager for Tech Learning, Strategic Partnership & Events, you are expected to:

- Work closely with key functions and senior stakeholders to assess strategic learning and development needs, and help define and shape tech learning and development programs.
- Responsible for cultivating, maintaining and developing relationships with learning and development partners.
- Work closely with the partners to strategize and implement training, engagement, and certification programs across the organisation.
- Support budget management and contract renewals, and maintain an operating plan for the organisation of training, awareness, and engagement initiatives.
- Support strategic engagement events like hackathons, conferences, and tech talks across the organisation.
- Create content and resources to make organising successful strategic engagement events as simple as possible.
- Use data to inform decisions, track and measure the impact of programs tied to business output.
- Manage project schedule, identify risk and clearly communicate goals to project stakeholders.
- Identify and implement training or process improvement opportunities across the organisation.
- Regularly explore suitable training programs and partners in the market, gather training-related feedback from engineers and members of the data community through surveys and 1-1 discussions and present insights about the learning needs of the organisation.
- Analyse feedback from various initiatives and suggest areas of improvement.

**The must-haves**
- Strong experience and a proven track record in working with third-party vendors and partners within L&D, or similar, in designing and delivering high impact programs.
- Passionate about promoting a culture of continuous learning and development across the organisation.
- Able to make key business decisions or provide solid recommendations based on data & analytical thinking.
- Experience with company-wide engagement events like hackathons and conferences.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across various functional teams.
- Excellent written and oral communication, project management, leadership, organizational, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- A self-starter with a start-up attitude - willing to work hard and take initiative to get things done in a highly-ambiguous and a fast paced environment.
- Outstanding problem-solving ability and a demonstration of enthusiasm, initiative, and the ability to learn fast.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office - Word, Powerpoint, Excel (automation formulas).

**The good to haves**
- Understanding of adult learning concepts and techniques.
- Software industry experience.
- Basic graphic design and video editing skills.
- Exposure to infographic tools like Canva, Stripo etc.
