**Overview**:
The Head, Business Development - Global Product Sourcing is responsible for identifying and securing new pharmaceutical products, drugs, and medical devices from key markets including the European Union, United States, China, and other strategic regions. This role is central to the company's growth and expansion strategy and requires in-depth knowledge of global pharmaceutical markets.
**Key Objectives**:
- Comprehensive Sourcing Strategy: Develop and implement a robust global sourcing strategy covering the EU, U.S., China, and other markets.
- Product Portfolio Expansion: Identify and acquire new pharmaceutical products, drugs, and medical devices for the company’s portfolio.
- Strategic Partnerships: Establish and manage relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies in target markets. Market Entry: Oversee the market entry of sourced products into local and regional markets.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead global sourcing initiatives to identify, evaluate, and acquire new products from the EU, U.S., China, and other strategic markets.
- Conduct due diligence, negotiations, and acquisition processes for new products.
- Collaborate with regulatory affairs to ensure compliance with relevant regulations in different markets.
- Engage directly with manufacturers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to negotiate favorable terms and contracts.
- Develop business cases for sourcing opportunities and present them to senior management for approval.
- Coordinate cross-functionally to integrate new products into the existing portfolio. Generate and present reports on sourcing activities, market trends, and business opportunities.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in business development with a specific focus on product sourcing in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Established networks in the EU, U.S., China, and other key pharmaceutical markets.
- Demonstrated success in negotiating and closing complex sourcing deals.
- Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
