Senior Commercial Manager

**Position Summary**:
The Senior Commercial Manager will be based on a new build project site in Singapore. The role will involve working with the client team, client appointed designers and quantity surveyors, contractors and specialist sub-contractors, in an active and collaborative team environment. The Commercial Manager will demonstrate the ability to optimise project costs, implement value engineering, and ensure value for money whilst still achieving and delivering the highest standards and quality.

**In this role you will**:
Provide contract administration support through the life of the various sub-contract packages.

Provide procurement, commercial and contract support through the pre-construction and construction stage of the project.

Support construction team to ensure project safety requirements are not compromised and commercial issues are resolved expeditiously for the timely completion of the project.

Identify and manage risk effectively by:
Strong contract and change management during the execution stage.

Ensuring appropriate security bonds and insurance are put in place to mitigate financial risk.

Reviewing entitlement to claims and changes submitted by contractors and vendors.

Reviewing basis of compensation and work closely with Project Controls Manager to adopt an appropriate strategy to minimize exposure.

Management of Sub-Contractors and Vendors from a contract administration perspective.

Ensure processes are maintained for timely payments to subcontractors/vendors to ensure works are not disrupted.

Ensure timely review and conclusion of Variations.

Negotiating contracts and final settlements to derive maximum financial benefit for the Client.

Managing commercial close-out documentation for turnover to the client as efficiently and quickly as possible.

Estimate cost of design and field changes.

Assist in the review and preparation of contract letters/notifications.

Assist in reviewing cashflow submissions and working with the Cost team to ensure accuracy.

Communicate effectively with other staff members, the general contractor and the client.

Deliver all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner.

Provide project controls support to align with the client's needs and procedures.

Produce cost analysis feedback / lessons learnt to the client for future works.

Deliver all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner.

Ad Hoc commercial/procurement tasks, as they arise.

Have 10+ years cost management experience.

Have both a MEP and CSA skillset.
