Our client is founded in Singapore and are experts in the Information and Communication Technology space. We have a regional tam of IT architects, UI/UX designers and code programmers in Southeast Asia.

They are looking for a Director of Payment Operations in their ongoing expansion.

- Develop and implement global payment strategies to optimize payment processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
- Responsible for control and manage relationships with financial institutions, payment service providers, and other partners to ensure reliable and cost-effective payment processing (e.g., IT & Systems, Payment Operations and 3rd party suppliers)
- Monitor and analyse payment performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards for payment processing, including data privacy laws, anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, and other relevant regulations.
- Work closely with other departments within the organization, including IT, operations, and customer service, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Manage and develop the payment team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on payment operations, including financial performance and key metrics.
- Identify and implement new payment technologies and solutions to improve the customer experience and increase efficiency.

- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field, Master's degree in business administration or finance is preferred.
- Above 10 years of experience in payment operations, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Experience in a global organization, preferably in a multinational company with operations in multiple regions.
- In-depth knowledge of payment processing and related technologies, including ACH, wire transfers, card payments, and mobile payments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in payment processing software and financial analysis tools.
- As you will be liaising and dealing with Chinese stakeholders based in China, fluency in Chinese language is required.
