R&d Eh&s Delivery Tech

The purpose of this position is to drive and support EH&S initiatives in Dow Singapore Solaris site. The individual will report to Dow AP EH&S Delivery leader and locally managed by Site leader/ Department Leader. The individual will work closely with Dow AP R&D EH&S Delivery team, Dow Singapore EH&S Delivery team, department leadership, and department personnel to implement meaningful and effective EH&S programs. He/she will also ensure that the departments are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards. Further, the individual will work with Department Leadership and the Delivery Specialist to identify risks and vulnerabilities and to develop and implement effective solutions.

**Key job responsibilities include**:

- Implement EH&S standards and work processes
- Complete scheduled compliance tasks and self-assessments
- Provide EH&S orientation and indoctrination training to new employees
- Collect data for EH&S reporting
- Coordinate local Industrial Hygiene monitoring and health surveillance programs
- Ensure delivery of EH&S training, prepare information for safety meeting communication
- Participate in Pre-startup safety reviews and Management of Change Reviews
- Conduct ergonomic evaluations
- Facilitate waste characterization and handling
- Handle site licenses renewals and updates when necessary
- Understand new local initiatives by NEA, take necessary actions for site
- Assess new incoming chemicals, chemistries, work with SMEs for PPE/ exposure analysis
- Conduct safety audits and share results with team and help for necessary follow ups

- Implement industrial hygiene programs

- Coordinate safety and housekeeping inspections for areas supported
- Implement compliance tracking tool
- Write procedures and programs as required
- Rollout and effectively implement applicable EH&S tools, programs and work processes
- Conduct safety audits and prepare site for audit with follow ups on closing actions for site

**Education/Certification Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry, engineering
- 2 years industrial EHS work experience
