**What the role is**

You are equally at ease managing stakeholders ranging from senior executives to members of the public. You will lead discussions with media partners and internal stakeholders to ensure consistent delivery of WSG’s key messages across media platforms, and increase public awareness of WSG and its programmes. You have a passion for storytelling and writing, and preferably a good understanding of the domestic media landscape. You will manage a team to conceptualise, plan and execute media activities, such as media events, pitches and collaborations.

**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Plan and implement WSG’s communications strategy and initiatives:

- Plan and develop strategic media engagement plan, and guide team to implement and execute such plans
- Oversee media engagement, and develop networks with media platforms for positive media coverage on all announcements
- Manage internal and external partners to develop content and messages in alignment with the corporate objectives
- Manage the media relations strategy across WSG:

- Identify media opportunities and develop sustained plans to showcase WSG’s assistance, programmes and initiatives in a positive light
- Analyse, review and manage information and statistics for effective messaging and timely delivery
- Work with multiple stakeholders across different Ministries and agencies to develop and maintain clear and consistent messaging across all media publications and media touch points
- As a Team Lead, you will
- Lead, coach and guide team on functional competencies
- Work collaboratively with various functional teams for optimal results
- Manage workflow processes and systems to ensure effective communications flow within the team and across the organisation

**Requirements**:

- Qualification in communications, media or related discipline
- About 7 years of media or relevant experience

**Knowledge**
- Strong understanding and familiarity of Singapore’s media landscape
- Good grasp of news angles and trends

**Skills**
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good project management skills to manage and execute projects
- Possess strong partnership management capability, strong leadership skills and a proven track record of managing and developing teams

**Abilities**
- Ability to conceptualise and deliver specific media engagement strategies to proliferate the awareness of different workforce segments and programmes to different media platforms
- Ability to engage and develop good networks with media platforms
- Able to work effectively both independently as well as in a team
