Keppel Infrastructure (KI) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Corporation, a Singapore flagship multinational company providing solutions for sustainable urbanisation. KI provides solutions for some of the world’s most pressing challenges through its power & gas, environment and new energy businesses by leveraging its proprietary technology, strong technical expertise and proven operating capabilities.
The Technology Team is involved in the Design and Engineering aspects of Keppel Infrastructure's Waste-to-Energy business. Waste-to-Energy facilities not only help reduce space taken in landfills which is essential in land scarce countries around the world, but they also help reduce the amount of carbon emissions compared to typical landfills where waste is not incinerated beforehand. Currently, the technology team is focused on executing a project on one of the world's largest Waste-to-Energy plants in the world.
The intern will be responsible in the following:
- Assist Design Engineer in the design works, which include Process Flow Diagram (PFD), Piping and Instrumentations Diagram (P&ID), design calculation, functional description, design technical specification, estimation and related documents in compliance with tender & code of practice.- Assist Project Engineer and Package Engineer in managing the equipment package including preparation minutes of meeting, checking on the technical information submitted and compilation of project documents.- Assist Engineering Office on the engineering management process flow and related work.
Learning Outcomes:
- Gain an understanding of Engineering design concepts and considerations through exposure to an ongoing project.- Appreciation of the demands and requirements of project coordination through exposure to an ongoing project.
JOB REQUIREMENTS- Undergraduate pursuing a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or equivalent.- Highly motivated and initiative individual.- Keen attitude for learning.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Meticulous and dedicated in assignments entrusted with.
