Your day to day

The Sales Manager - Corporate and Social Events is a crucial role to ensure that the experience of the client is not merely satisfactory but exceeds their expectations and those of the attendees. This proactive sales role will be the face of the hotel’s unique venue options such as _, The Residence, The Study, The Penthouse Suite, Quayside Lounge, _and _Publico Ristorante our award-winning restaurant.**FINANCIAL RETURNS**
- Implementing and executing a venue hire strategy
- Proactively sell the hotel’s event venues and hunt for corporate accounts and social clients via active solicitation through sales calls, site inspections and client networking events
- Achieving and exceeding financial targets under the guidance of the Director of Sales & Marketing
- Monitor competitor activities and assist in marketing intelligence
- Interfaces with operations on a timely basis

**GUEST EXPERIENCE**
- Should be well versed in defining experiential ‘Out of the Box’ experiences so that clients can be introduced to customized experiences within an array of event venues and spaces within the hotel
- Be the overall custodian & driver of Event Sales
- Develop valuable relationships with key event and meeting planners
- Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
- Respond to -and handle client matters/ feedback and strive to improve service performance
- Emphasize guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings and focus on continuous improvement

**PEOPLE**
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication/briefings and coordinate
- with other departments: key departmental contacts include all hotel departments

**RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS**
- Develop and maintain beneficial relationships with officials and representatives of local community, groups and companies to gain new business and increase sales for the hotel
- Perform other duties as assigned

What we need from you

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Hotel Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred and 3 plus years’ hotel management experience. Experience in the field of catering and event services preferred. Must speak fluent English.
- Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly
- on the hotel, the brand and the Company
- Understanding of Sales Budget Strategy as it applies to hotel business
- Strong computer skills are required. Delphi Sales & Catering experience preferred
- Strong reading and writing abilities are required
- Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities are used often
- Ability to travel to attend workshops, specialized training and or certifications
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
