Reporting to the Group Category Manager, the Category Executive has to:

- Drive financial results with his/ her assigned portfolio within the International Sourcing department.
- Source, buy as well as the end-to-end inventory management from source to shelf in order to achieve sales and profit targets.
- Cost negotiation with suppliers
- Develop a workplan independently, while working closely with various stakeholders (both internal and external) to adhere to project timelines
- Display an interest and passion in understanding and driving growth of product categories by adopting various strategies such as managing of price and promotions along with marketing/ in-store activities.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Diploma, Degree or equivalent
- Min 3-5 years of relevant work experience in FMCG, preferably in procurement management and/ or sales management roles
- Able to source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers for right products at desired costs
- Show ability to work independently to develop workplan with planned initiatives/ activities to drive growth for assigned portfolio
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to provide timely updates on the status of the procurement matters
- Liaise effectively with Finance, Supply Chain, and related internal business functions on any defective or discrepancy issues for the inbound shipment and ensure timely payment for completed imports
- Experience in the retail sector and system knowledge in SAP are added advantage
- Customer-oriented, meticulous and results oriented
- Strong data analysis skills to make data-driven decisions
- Highly motivated and able to work under pressure
- Good negotiation and communications skills
- Independent, resourceful and a good problem solver
- Process oriented but at the same time open and adaptable to changes
- Able to make work independently and as a team player
