About this role:
As a Merchandising Assistant at Novela, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Merchandising Manager in various tasks related to product assortment, inventory management, and vendor relations. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and passion for the beauty industry will be essential in ensuring our product offerings meet customer expectations and sales goals.

**Key Responsibilities:
**Assortment Management**:

- Assist in the selection and curation of products for the store, taking into consideration market trends, customer preferences, and seasonal variations.
- Collaborate with the Merchandising Manager to develop and implement assortment plans and strategies.
- Monitor product performance and make recommendations for adjustments to optimize sales and inventory turnover.

**Inventory Control**:

- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock replenishments, and product allocations.
- Assist in inventory forecasting and demand planning to ensure adequate stock levels and prevent overstock or stockouts.
- Coordinate with the purchasing team to place orders and track order status.

**Vendor Relations**:

- Communicate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
- Assist in negotiating terms and agreements with suppliers to optimize cost and terms.
- Evaluate vendor performance and provide feedback to the Merchandising Manager.

**Visual Merchandising**:

- Work with the Visual Merchandising team to plan and execute product displays that enhance the shopping experience.
- Ensure that product displays are visually appealing, well-organized, and comply with company guidelines.

**Market Research and Analysis**:

- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to make data-driven recommendations.
- Analyze sales and inventory reports to identify opportunities and areas for improvement.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience in merchandising or retail, particularly in the beauty industry, is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
