The right person will be highly technical and analytical, possess 5+ years of current solution architecture (implementation/consulting) experience
- Experience architecting infrastructure solutions using both Linux/Unix and Windows with specific recommendations on server, load balancing, HA/DR, & storage architectures.
- Experience working within the Enterprise software market or Internet industries is highly desired.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
- Technical degree required; Computer Science or Math background is highly desired.

THE ROLE

You will collaborate with customers, partners and other AWS teams to craft architectures, proof of concepts and demonstrations of our platform that work back from customer's business needs and accelerate the adoption of appropriate AWS technology. You will help shape and design solutions covering a spread of tech concerns like security, tenant isolation in compute and storage, hybrid networking, CI/CD to reduce time to market, rightsizing and auto-scaling of infrastructure, purpose-built databases to name a few. The ability to learn new technology and develop industry relevant architectures and convey business value is critical to the role.

Key job responsibilities
- Scope each customer engagement, with attention towards clear and well-defined objectives and success criteria.
- Own each technical engagement, and help ensure a timely and successful delivery of value. (delivery of actual solutions to be done by AWS partners)
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the solution architect community.
- Understand the AWS market segments, customer base, and industry verticals.
- Experience architecting, migrating or transforming customer requirements to the cloud - Professional experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS would be a big plus. - One or more AWS certifications, e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate - Demonstrated thought leadership through public speaking and / or publications
