AWS Global Demand and Solution Center (GDSC) is seeking an experienced full-stack software engineer to build the future with us. GDSC is a solution provider within AWS Marketing to support internal stakeholders to address diverse problems through human intelligence and technology solutions. We are running a strategic project which leverages Artificial Intelligence to transform the traditional customer engagement into a personalized experience that makes it easy to onboard prospects and customers onto the AWS Cloud.

A successful Software Development Engineer II (SDE 2) in our team needs to be entrepreneurial, able to deal with ambiguity, and work in a highly collaborative environment. You are expected to design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality, maintainable software that solves new and difficult problems. You are able to troubleshoot failures and prevent them from reappearing. You will contribute across the software stack, including back end services, front end components, and applied machine learning.

Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer II (SDE 2) in the GDSC Sunrise team, this role designs, implements, and supports major features and new software components. Sunrise team builds the unified inbound contact platform to enable AWS customers and prospects to get their inquiries resolved. Sunrise currently operates a web-based Chat 2.0 system that provides live chat, scheduled callback, and chatbot in selected AWS Website pages.

In addition to developing capabilities, the SDE 2 actively identifies and takes actions on opportunities to improve Sunrise team’s software, mechanisms, and operations. They propose enhancements, define goals, and collaborate with other engineers to achieve them.

- Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or natural language processing
- Knowledge in AWS technologies and Generative AI technologies
