We are looking for a skilled Data Migration Lead with 5 to 7 years of experience in managing data migration projects and data retention strategies.
- Working knowledge of data migration tools, such as MS SQL Server Migration Assistant for Oracle, will be an advantage.
- As a Data Migration Lead, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, defining migration strategies, and ensuring successful data migration outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end data migration projects, from requirements gathering and analysis to migration execution and post-migration validation.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their data migration needs, legacy systems, and target environments, and develop comprehensive migration plans and strategies.
- Define data migration requirements, including data mapping, transformation rules, data validation criteria, and migration schedules, to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Select and configure appropriate data migration tools and technologies based on project requirements, such as MS SQL Server Migration Assistant for Oracle, AWS Database Migration Service, or Informatica PowerCenter.
- Manage data cleansing, deduplication, and transformation activities to improve data quality and consistency before migration.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including IT teams, business users, and third-party vendors, to execute data migration tasks according to project timelines and milestones.
- Develop data retention policies and strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and business needs, and implement data archiving and purging solutions as needed.
- Conduct post-migration assessments and audits to validate data completeness, accuracy, and consistency, and address any issues or discrepancies identified during the migration process.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in data management and data migration, with a focus on managing complex data migration projects.
- Strong technical skills in data migration tools and technologies, such as MS SQL Server Migration Assistant for Oracle, AWS Database Migration Service, Informatica PowerCenter, or equivalent tools.
- Proficiency in SQL and database management systems, with hands-on experience in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Experience working with diverse data sources and formats, including relational databases, flat files, and cloud-based systems.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive project delivery in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving data migration issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
