**Job Overview**:
Traditional Services - Unix & Storage team is a production operation function within EIS responsible for provisioning and operational management of Unix/Linux servers and Virtualization infrastructure globally. We have 4 onshore staffs in Tokyo, HK and 4 offshore staffs in India, primarily responsible for the platform deployed in Asia and extending our support coverage to both UK and US offices during Asia hours.

The team is responsible for provisioning and operational management of Unix/Linux servers and Virtualization infrastructure globally. Primary platforms supported are RedHat Linux deployed as both physical and virtual servers. Management of these platforms includes configuration, troubleshooting, and maintaining both hardware and operation systems.

**Project/Service Description**

In addition to day to day operational support, there are number of projects undertaken such as
- Tech refresh of storage platform (block and file storage) to cater for traditional usage and cloud computing
- Obsolescence of legacy infrastructure and standardization of Unix platform
- Server virtualization and migration to Nomura private cloud infrastructure
- Datacentre consolidation

**Responsibilities**:
The role is expect to be responsible for day-to-day operation of Unix/VM and storage infrastructure including,
- Manage storage team to support the firm’s global storage infrastructure (Block, File and content based storage)
- Incident management: Attend incident call and resolve production issues. Incident follow up with RCA report and implementation of permanent fix to the issue.
- Coordinate / implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects such as datacentre restack, storage array refresh, NAS migration.
- Coordinate with other infrastructure teams and communicate with stakeholders on high impact changes and projects.
- Attend global forum to meet with counterparts in other regions to provide status update on global initiatives.
- Monitoring, troubleshooting problem may occur on Unix/VM platform
- Implementation of changes for production environment
- Participating in support shift (Morning, Weekend)

**Requirements**:
Mandatory:

- 5-7 years of hands-on experience on Redhat Linux and VMware
- 5 years of working experience in investment banking IT
- Experience in team management
- Fluent in English (read, write and speak)

Preferred:

- 3 years of experience in managing SAN/NAS storage and SAN fabric
- Experience in RedHat Enterprise Linux, RedHat cluster, LVM
- Experience in Ansible automation
- Experience in VMware vSphere suite: ESXi, VCSA, SRM, vSAN
- Knowledge of LDAP, DNS, NTP
- Good shell script language skills including PERL, Python, YAML, Power shell
- Knowledge of Public cloud services
- Project management skills working with various IT teams and vendor
