**Main Objectives**
- Steering, optimization and result improvement of ship systems
- Result improvement on specific trade lanes
- Product development

**Function and Duties**
- Heading and managing the trade management team responsible for Asia - Africa
- Responsible for maximizing network capacity and optimizing SSY result for the trade
- Liaise with all Regional Sales and Areas to optimize services and customer requirements
- Steering of cargo by customer and services in line with targeted cargo segmentation
- Responsible for future strategy and product improvements
- Research and market analysis including regular analysis of market rates and volume
- Planning of Hapag-Lloyd transport volume/pricing/contributions for the respective trade lanes in liaison with the respective Regions and Areas
- Budget control for the respective trade relations with respect to volume and revenue
- Assessment of customer performance against nomination and agreed cargo mix

**Qualifications and Technical Job Requirements**
- At least a degree, preferably in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation or related discipline
- At least 10 of working experience in the shipping industry, preferably in Trade Management, with at least 8 years of in depth experience in Asia
- Africa trade, especially in China market are essential.
- Good knowledge of the workflow and processes in the shipping/transportation industry
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and Hapag-Lloyd IT systems
- Fluent in Business English, both spoken and written
