Our client, a global MNC in diversified businesses from agriculture, food processing to international shipping, and finance is seeking for an Assistant Operational Controller, with skills sets in finance & analysis to trade, market and distribute activities primarily in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and Australia. This role offers a multi-national learning experience across multiple products with its presence in more than 55 countries across the globe.

**Responsibilities:

- To produce and monitor the Positions, FX Exposures and Weekly P&Ls for the business in SEA which currently includes trading, marketing and distributing activities primarily in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and Australia.
- To understand various trade flows, trading strategies and to produce high quality commentary and margin analysis as required & also responsible for ensuring some elements of the monthly closing process, working closely with Accounting, in accordance with internal deadlines and reporting requirements.
- From a business operations perspective, to support the Operational Controller and collaborating closely with Commercial and Execution teams, including Trading, Execution and Accounting to actively contribute in areas such as Commercial Margin, Net Interest, Working Capital and Secondary Cost analysis.
- To be involved in IT and Process Improvement/Efficiency projects.
- To propose/champion & collaborate with colleagues in other departments in business process improvement initiatives or global projects to align/streamline processes in line with the organization’s Trade to Cash Principles
- Produce Ad-hoc Reports and analysis as required by the Platform, Region or Central Reporting

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Business/Accounting/Economics with min 3 yrs experience in Product Control/Business Analysis/Management Accounting/Audit experience & with some working knowledge of Financial Markets, in particular Commodity and Foreign Exchange Markets will be value adding.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, ability and willingness to interact effectively with all levels of employees & management
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and to take initiative proactive attitude towards problems and issues
- Ability to work in a high-pressure atmosphere.
- Strong analytical skills & highly proficient with Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of SQL and PowerBI is a plus
